Gum Contouring Cost

To determine if gum contouring is right for you, schedule a consultation with our clinic. During this examination, we will evaluate your overall oral health and determine whether gum contouring is the right treatment option to address your oral health needs and achieve your cosmetic goals. During this evaluation, we will also determine how extensive your gum contouring needs are and provide an estimate of what your anticipated costs for the procedure will be.

Please note: our clinic offers all types of dental sedation, including oral sedation, Nitrous Oxide, and IV sedation. While the gum contouring procedure is minimally invasive, some patients have extreme gum sensitivity while other patients struggle with dental phobia. Although using dental sedation will increase the overall cost of your procedure and may not be covered by your dental insurance plan, it will put you in a much more relaxed state, which can mean the difference between having or not having this procedure performed for some patients.

One important factor that will impact the total cost is whether the procedure is being performed strictly for cosmetic purposes or if it is part of a larger treatment plan. If gum contouring is being done strictly for cosmetic reasons, it may not be covered by your dental insurance plan. If gum contouring is part of a larger treatment plan, however, some of the costs may be covered. In this case, you may be able to schedule parts of your treatment plan towards the end of the year and schedule the remaining procedures towards the start of a new year once your benefits have renewed.

We accept traditional insurance and are happy to file and track your insurance claim and assist with insurance family plans. To help facilitate this process, please have your insurance information prepared at your appointment, including your insurance and identification card. To help you maximize your benefits, we are also happy to provide a written diagnostic report and X-rays to your insurance company if necessary.

Please note: Dental insurance only covers part of your total expenses and remaining out-of-pocket expenses must be paid following service. We accept cash, debit cards, and most major
