Dr. Philip J. Hedger has been with Coastal Jaw Surgery since 2016 as our resident Prosthodontist. Dr. Hedger specializes in dental prosthetics, treating dental and facial issues that involve restoring and replacing missing or bad teeth. He is highly trained in cosmetics, dental implants, crowns, bridges, and dentures. Dr. Hedger is faculty member of the Pikos Institute where he teaches implant prosthodontics with focus on full arch fixed implant diagnostics and treatment planning. He assists in teaching dentists and hygienists in the Tampa Bay area through Coastal Jaw Surgery’s Pinnacle and Hygiene Study Club held at the Pikos Institute in Trinity, Florida. Dr. Hedger is located in the Same Day Teeth® office in Trinity.

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Hedger maintains an active involvement within the dental community, serving on committees and providing educational lectures to peers. He grew up in Palm Harbor, Florida, and now lives locally in Odessa with his wife Stacy (his high-school sweetheart) and their four daughters. In his free time, Dr. Hedger also serves as a small group leader, youth group leader, and children's leader at Generations Christian Church. It is his passion to meet and serve others.  He thoroughly enjoys designing new smiles for patients looking to improve cosmetics, function, overall health, and confidence. He also loves building and designing holiday props and yard displays for all to enjoy. Dr. Hedger is always looking to make people smile! To Dr. Hedger, life is about Joy. He often says, "A smile is the best thing you can wear!", so he makes sure it is designed perfectly for you. Dr. Hedger became a prosthodontist because he is passionate about changing lives and wanted to learn how to treat the most complex and difficult dental cases, to be able to provide all patients who present to Same Day Teeth with hope, a brighter future, and a new smile to go along with it.
